3. If YouTube is blocked on your school's computers, Teacher Tube might be a good alternative.4. Book trailers -- movie-style trailers for books: genius? weird? fad? I have looked for a few examples and they seem to be only made for young adult and children's books. Melissa Marr has trailers for her Wicked Lovely series, Cassandra Clare's new book Clockwork Angel has a trailer on MTV.com. It could be a fun classroom project.
There is also one for Hunger games on their official website that I am teaching this semester. If anyone has taught it or is now teaching it, I would love some ideas.
ReplyDeleteI read about an activity assignment where the class was put into groups to make movie trailers for books and then film them, take them around to different classes to preview books they will be reading that year or the next.
I also used the WOrdle in a class where the students had to write an autobiographical poem and them out it into wordle and hung the poem and the graphic together in the room. (10th grade)
